PYC operates from two distinct venues, offering an unparalleled range of watersports activities. The Bay Site at the Yacht Mole is the home of keelboat and offshore sailing, while the Beach Site at Vetch’s Beach hosts South Africa’s largest Hobie Cat fleet and beach-based activities.
PYC has a home for you, the seasoned offshore racer, a weekend hobie sailor, a powerboater or a complete beginner.

PYC hosts weekly bay racing for keelboats of all sizes, from small sportsboats to offshore cruiser-races. The racing programme includes regular Wednesday evening races, weekend regattas and major offshore events.

Dinghies & Hobie Cats
PYC’s Beach Site at Vetch’s Beach is home to South Africa’s largest Hobie Cat fleet. The Hobie 14 (single-handed) is perfect for beginners, while the powerful Hobie 16 (two-handed) offers exhilarating racing. The sheltered Vetch’s reef creates mild conditions ideal for all skill levels.

Powerboating
The PYC Powerboat Section is an active and growing part of the club. The Kingfisher fleet and single-engine boat racing provide exciting competition on the bay.
